The Strand Turks & Caicos Names Randall Wilkie General Manager

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos — The Strand Turks & Caicos has appointed hospitality executive Randall Wilkie as general manager of the luxury resort.
Wilkie has more than 40 years of hospitality experience across the Caribbean and United Kingdom. Most recently, he served as general manager of Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, which, like The Strand, is part of The Leading Hotels of the World network.
His previous experience also includes consulting work with Blue Monkey Hotel & Beach Club in Barbados, Hotel Le Tremplin in France, St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel, The Warren Resort & Spa and de Savary Hotels in the United Kingdom and British Isles.
Earlier in his career, Wilkie held general manager positions at Almond Beach Resort in Barbados and several Sandals properties, including Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Grande Antigua and Sandals Jamaica Caribbean Cay. He also served as managing director of Blue Waters Resort & Spa in Antigua and Cobblers Cove in Barbados.
The Strand is located along 2,200 feet of shoreline on Cooper Jack Bay. The resort recently became a Certified Pollinator Sanctuary through a partnership with Colorado’s Butterfly Pavilion and plans to add a full-service spa, kids’ club and “Maestro in Residence” program in the coming year.
