Hunter Advisors Closes 21 Hotel Transactions in Third Quarter

October 7, 2026

ATLANTA — Hunter Advisors closed 21 hotel transactions across 12 states during the third quarter of 2026, bringing its year-to-date total to 71 closings representing more than $900 million in transaction volume.

The hospitality brokerage firm completed nine transactions in July, followed by six each in August and September. The properties ranged from select-service and extended-stay hotels to full-service properties, including the Hyatt Regency Long Island, The Westin San Antonio North, the Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel and the Embassy Suites Piscataway.

Florida accounted for four closings, including the Hampton Inn Miami Airport East, Hampton Inn & Suites Lakeland-South Polk Parkway, Aloft Gainesville and Hampton Inn Boca Raton-Deerfield Beach. Other transactions included the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Princeton.

“The transaction market is active, but it is still highly selective,” said Teague Hunter, CEO of Hunter Advisors. “There is capital looking for hotels, but buyers are disciplined about where they put it.”

Hunter enters the fourth quarter with 28 additional hotels under contract across nine states, including a seven-hotel portfolio. The firm expects to close more than 100 hotel transactions for the second consecutive year.

Jatin Patel, senior vice president of Hunter Advisors, said elevated capital costs and disciplined underwriting continue to influence the market, although improving debt liquidity and narrowing differences between buyer and seller expectations are helping transactions move forward.
