Kimpton Opens All-Inclusive Tres Ríos Resort in Riviera Maya
October 12, 2026
RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico — Kimpton Hotels & Resorts has opened Kimpton Tres Ríos, an all-inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya.
The resort is set within a privately owned, 326-acre nature park with freshwater rivers, cenotes and Caribbean shoreline. Kimpton is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio.
At full rollout, Kimpton Tres Ríos will feature 355 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, five bars, four outdoor pools, a 10,000-square-foot spa, a two-story fitness center and the Tres Ríos Ballroom. The resort also offers 24-hour suite service, daily programming and recreational activities.
“Kimpton Tres Ríos brings the warmth, individuality and intuitive service that define Kimpton to one of the Riviera Maya’s most extraordinary natural settings,” said Jorge Martinez, general manager of Kimpton Tres Ríos. “The resort invites guests to experience the culture and landscape of this remarkable place in a way that feels personal, generous and unmistakably Kimpton.”
The resort takes its name from three freshwater rivers that run through the property before reaching the sea. Guests can swim and kayak in one cenote-fed river, and six of the property’s 10 cenotes are available through guided tours, according to the company. One cenote is designated for swimming and snorkeling.
The surrounding park includes 120 plant species and 90 animal species, including coatimundis, spider monkeys, agoutis, raccoons, anteaters, white-tailed deer, iguanas, birds and fish. Guests can also take part in guided nature walks and kayak excursions.
The resort’s food-and-beverage program includes several restaurant and bar concepts. Bacetto serves Italian cuisine, Kotori focuses on Japanese dishes and El Carnal is designed as a steakhouse concept. De La Calle offers Mexican street-food-inspired dining in an open-air setting. Other venues include Café Casa and La Campana, a sports bar with curated beers and tropical elements.
Accommodations include mangrove-view rooms, one-, two- and three-bedroom suites and a Presidential Suite. Rooms and suites include private balconies or terraces, and connecting-room options are available for families and multigenerational groups.
Outdoor amenities include four pools, whirlpools, cabanas and nonmotorized water sports. Programming includes sunrise yoga, guided stargazing and sound baths. The Kej Spa offers hydrotherapy, massage, beauty treatments and Mayan-inspired rituals, including a temazcal experience and the Cenote Sacred Treatment.
Kimpton Tres Ríos also includes family programming. The resort has a water park with slides and lifeguard service, along with Club Aventuras, a supervised program for children ages 4 to 12.
For meetings and events, the Tres Ríos Ballroom accommodates up to 500 guests and includes audiovisual capabilities. The resort also offers beach, garden, terrace and esplanade settings for weddings, receptions and group functions.
Kimpton said the property includes several brand features, including Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee, evening Social Hour gatherings, complimentary bicycles and in-room yoga mats. IHG One Rewards members can earn and redeem points at the resort, and Kimpton Inner Circle recognition is available for eligible guests.
In 2027, the resort plans to add a dedicated adults-only experience with rooms and suites featuring swim-up access and private plunge pools.
