Casas del XVI Appoints Yuribell Chez, Christina Luka to Leadership Team

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — Casas del XVI has appointed Yuribell Chez general manager and Christina Luka director of sales and marketing following the hotel’s recent opening under IHG’s Vignette Collection.

The 21-room boutique hotel is located across eight restored historic houses in Santo Domingo’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ciudad Colonial.

Chez brings more than 10 years of experience in hotel operations, openings and general management. Her career has included leadership roles at city hotels and social clubs in the Dominican Republic, with responsibilities spanning operations, team leadership and guest service.

She earned a business administration degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and completed a strategic management program at Barna Management School.

Luka’s background includes hotel sales, group business, events and commercial strategy, including previous roles with other IHG brands. She worked alongside Chez during the hotel’s opening, helping develop its commercial, operational and marketing strategy.

Luka earned a degree in hotel administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and is pursuing a master’s degree in marketing and digital advertising at Universidad de Nebrija.

Casas del XVI is part of IHG’s Vignette Collection, which currently includes 34 hotels in 17 countries, with an additional 45 properties in its pipeline.
