Terraces at the Drey Opens in Dallas with 46 Rooms and Suites
October 12, 2026
DALLAS — Terraces at the Drey, a 46-room hotel developed through the adaptive reuse of a former office building, has opened at The Village Dallas, a 300-acre master-planned community. The property expands the hospitality offerings of the existing Drey Hotel, with accommodations designed to connect guests to the community’s dining, recreation and wellness amenities.
The hotel features individually configured guestrooms and suites with 11-foot ceilings and layouts that reflect the building’s previous use. Seven terrace suites offer private outdoor spaces, including two corner suites with furnished terraces, landscaping and skyline views. The corner suites can accommodate gatherings of up to 100 people.
“Terraces at the Drey represents another evolution of what The Village Dallas can offer: not simply a place to stay, but a place to experience,” said Jon Gray, managing director of The Village Dallas. “We wanted to create something that feels elevated but never removed from the energy of The Village.”
D. James Carry Design Studio and Ink + Oro collaborated on the property’s design, incorporating wood finishes, greenery, natural light and sculptural glass installations. Trellis details and other architectural elements reference the surrounding landscape. The companies say the hotel’s name is derived from a drey, the treetop nest built by squirrels, reflecting the property’s elevated outdoor terraces.
As part of The Village Dallas, hotel guests have access to restaurants, fitness and wellness classes, swimming pools, walking trails and recreational activities. The community also includes the Village Beach Club and outdoor spaces for organized and informal gatherings.
A new dining concept, Kobako, is scheduled to open at Terraces at the Drey in 2027. The 14-seat omakase restaurant will expand the property’s food and beverage offerings.
Guests can also access existing dining venues within The Village Dallas, including Anise at the Drey Hotel, Meridian, Over Under sports bar and Buzz & Bustle coffee shop.
