Driftwood Capital Adds Resnick, Dykeman to Investment Team
September 21, 2026

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Driftwood Capital has named David Resnick as partner and co-chief investment officer and added Andrew Dykeman as senior vice president of equity investments, the Miami-based hospitality real estate investment firm announced.
David Steiner, co-founder of Driftwood’s credit platform, also has been elevated to co-chief investment officer. According to the firm, the appointments bring Driftwood’s equity and credit investing under one leadership team as it pursues larger projects across lifestyle and luxury hospitality, mixed-use development, ground-up development and branded residential.
Resnick joins Driftwood from 13th Floor Investments, where he served as chief investment officer. In that role, he led more than $850 million of capitalized projects and helped grow the firm’s pipeline to more than 7,500 units and about $5.5 billion in capitalization across residential development, income-producing assets and alternative sectors.

Steiner has been with Driftwood since 2020. He co-founded the firm’s credit platform and led its first credit fund’s participation as a co-lender in about $2.3 billion in aggregate credit transactions through October 2025.
As co-CIOs, Steiner and Resnick will lead investment activity across Driftwood’s equity and credit platforms, including strategy, origination, underwriting, structuring, capital allocation and portfolio oversight. The firm said the structure is intended to create a more coordinated investment process while maintaining separate equity and credit mandates.
“Driftwood is an experienced hospitality investor with equity, development and credit under one roof,” said Carlos Rodriguez Jr., co-founder and CEO of Driftwood. “That integration is a key component, and unifying our investment leadership under David and David reinforces that approach. As we move into larger, more complex projects — lifestyle and luxury, mixed-use, ground-up development, branded residential — the firm is structured to provide creative solutions across the capital stack. This team is built to execute in these asset classes.”

Dykeman will be responsible for underwriting and structuring new equity investments across the platform. He previously worked at The Witkoff Group, where he was senior vice president, acquisitions and capital markets. In that role, he led site selection, capital raising and business planning for the company’s Shell Bay residential and hotel brand across $10 billion of global master-planned deals.
He also led underwriting and asset management on about $7 billion of developments and $3 billion in financings, including the Shore Club in Miami Beach, One High Line in New York and 700 N. Miami Ave. in downtown Miami. Dykeman also led site selection and business development for Witkoff’s data center platform.
“Driftwood’s development and operating capabilities are built to carry the firm into larger, more ambitious projects,” Dykeman said. “I came to help grow the pipeline and the capital base behind it.”
Driftwood is a vertically integrated commercial real estate investment firm focused on hospitality. Since 2015, Driftwood and its principals and subsidiaries have transacted on more than $5 billion in hospitality assets through affiliated entities.
