Witness Investment Acquires Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel

WAUWATOSA, Wis. — Chicago-based Witness Investment has acquired the 196-room Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel in Wauwatosa, according to Hunter Advisors, which represented the transaction.

The seller and terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Built in 2020, the 12-story, AAA Four Diamond hotel is located at 2300 N. Mayfair Road, adjacent to Mayfair Mall and about 10 miles west of downtown Milwaukee. The property serves corporate, medical, leisure and group demand generated by the surrounding retail and business district as well as nearby destinations including Froedtert Hospital, American Family Field and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.

The North Mayfair Road corridor has more than $500 million in planned development, led by a $400 million residential and retail project expected to add nearly 1,000 apartments. Other projects include a 210,000-square-foot Scheels store scheduled to open in 2027 and the $22 million conversion of two office buildings into 92 apartments.

The hotel’s food-and-beverage outlets include Eldr+Rime, which serves wood-fire entrees and cocktails, and the Silhouette Lobby Lounge. Other amenities include a 12th-floor fitness center, business center and 24-hour front desk.

Meeting and event facilities cover 9,864 square feet of space, including the 4,500-square-foot Revel Hall Ballroom and indoor rooftop spaces with city views.

Witness Investment Managing Partner Gurtej Medi said the company was attracted to the hotel’s recent construction, location, Marriott affiliation and potential for growth.

Hunter Senior Vice President Spencer Davidson brokered the transaction.
