The Hari Hotels to Join IHG’s Vignette Collection
The Hari London, The Hari Hong Kong and the forthcoming The Hari Singapore will join IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection later this year, extending a relationship between the Harilela Group and IHG that spans more than five decades.
The agreement will bring the three Hari properties into IHG’s collection brand while allowing them to retain their existing identities. The move will extend the companies’ partnership to six hotels across Asia and Europe.
The Hari Singapore is scheduled to open in spring 2027 and will become the first Vignette Collection property in Singapore.
Vignette Collection is designed for independent luxury and boutique hotels that want to retain their names and identities while gaining access to IHG’s distribution network and IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
“With more than 80 open and pipeline hotels, Vignette Collection is tracking ahead of its ambition to reach more than 100 hotels within its first decade,” said Rajit Sukumaran, senior vice president and managing director, East Asia & Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Welcoming The Hari’s portfolio marks Vignette Collection’s debut in Singapore and strengthens our presence in London and Hong Kong.”
The Hari London opened in 2016, followed by The Hari Hong Kong in 2020. “The Hari” brand was founded by Dr. Aron Harilela, chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Ltd.
“Our design-led hotels serve as gateways to the art, culture and communities that define their destinations,” Harilela said.
British interior designer Tara Bernerd designed each of The Hari properties, which feature rotating collections of work by established and emerging local artists. The brand also operates The Hari Art Prize and has pursued EarthCheck certifications and charity partnerships.
Harilela Group, established in 1959 and still owned by the Harilela family, is the parent company of Harilela Hotels, which owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe and the United States.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has 21 hotel brands, more than 7,000 hotels in more than 100 countries and a development pipeline of about 2,300 properties, according to the company.
